Frequently Asked Questions
How much will I save on my electric bill?
It depends on your usage, roof, and SMUD's rate structure. We provide an estimate after the site visit. Minimum charges and delivery fees still appear on your bill.
Can my roof handle the panels?
During the site visit we check the structure and roofing material. If reinforcement is needed, it will be included in the proposal.
How long does interconnection approval take?
Timing is set by SMUD after we submit the interconnection application. We track the process and keep you updated at each step.
Do the panels need maintenance?
We recommend periodic cleaning and connection inspections, especially during the dry season when dust builds up.
Can I finance the system?
Yes. Several solar loan options are available. We can help you gather the documentation your lender requires.
