Why customers come back

  • Fitting before we finish

For bigger alterations, you try it on with pins before we sew. That way the fit is exactly what you want.

  • Pickup date on your receipt

You leave the studio with the price and pickup date written down. If anything changes, we'll text you.

  • Careful with every garment

Formal wear, tailoring, and delicate fabrics are sewn with the right needle and thread for each one.

How it works

  1. Send a photo

Text us a photo of the garment and what you'd like changed on WhatsApp. We'll reply with an estimate.

  2. Bring it in

We do the fitting and pin it to fit. The price and pickup date are written on your receipt.

  3. We sew it

The garment is altered in the studio, with finishing checked before pickup.

  4. Pick up and check

Try it on at pickup. If it needs a quick tweak, we'll fix it on the spot.

Seamstress with a measuring tape around her neck focused on studio work

A neighborhood studio with the machine always running

True Stitch Alterations is located in Nob Hill, Albuquerque, in a small storefront space along Central Avenue. The seamstress behind the studio learned the craft from her grandmother and worked at local tailor shops before opening her own space.

The studio helps customers fit new clothes, get more wear out of old favorites, and repair pieces that carry sentimental value. Uniforms and small batches for local businesses are also part of the regular work.
