Prairie Fire Bakehouse sits on a busy corner in Northeast Minneapolis, just blocks from the Arts District. Early mornings, the counter fills with neighbors grabbing buttered toast and fresh coffee before work.

Baking starts at 4 AM. Our baker handles the dough and the oven, while the pastry team builds custom cakes upstairs, taking the time to get every detail the way each customer described it.

How far in advance do I need to order a cake?

We ask for at least 48 hours' notice for cakes up to 3 pounds. For larger cakes or custom designs, reach out a week ahead.

Do you deliver?

Party orders can be delivered to Northeast Minneapolis and nearby neighborhoods for a fee arranged by text. Daily bread and pastries are pickup only.

Can I reserve a sourdough loaf?

Yes. Send us a message by 6 PM the day before and we'll set your loaf aside for morning pickup.

How do I pay for a custom order?

We ask for a 50% deposit by card or Venmo to confirm the date. You pay the rest at pickup by card, Venmo, or cash.

Do you have gluten-free or dairy-free options?

Right now we don't have a dedicated line for dietary restrictions. If you need something specific, reach out before ordering so we can talk it through.
