How much to charge for a website

Pick the client's industry, the city size and the scope. The calculator shows a minimum, a suggested and a premium price plus monthly maintenance, using the same pricing logic Hyperpin uses inside the app.

Hyperpin is a platform for people who build and sell websites to local businesses: it finds businesses without a website on the map, generates the site with AI and helps close the sale.

How to set your price

Start with the suggested price. It is a fair price for the industry and city, and one you can defend in a conversation without over-explaining.

Use the minimum on purpose: for the first client in a niche, to build a portfolio, or when the client signs quickly with no changes. Don't make the minimum your default.

Premium is for when you deliver more: on-site photos, copy written with the owner, more pages or a short deadline. Show what changes, not just the number.

Monthly maintenance is what turns a project into recurring revenue. Spell out what's included, such as hosting, backups and updates, so the client sees a service and not just a bill.

Website pricing FAQ

How much should I charge for a simple one-page website?

Using Hyperpin's reference, in a city of 100k to 500k people a one-page website is around $450 for consumer businesses (food, beauty, pets), $650 for services (auto, education, events) and $900 for high-value industries (health, law, real estate), at the suggested price.

How much should I charge for monthly website maintenance?

The basic maintenance reference is $29 a month for consumer businesses, $39 for services and $49 for high-value industries. The complete plan costs about 1.8 times the basic one and includes more monthly updates, a new section every quarter and a traffic report.

Can a website cost more in a big city?

Yes. The calculator applies 0.85 for cities up to 100k people, 1 for 100k to 500k, 1.15 for 500k to 2 million and 1.3 above 2 million, because competition and the value of a new customer usually grow with the city.

How much more should I charge for extra pages?

Instead of pricing per page, the calculator uses scope: up to 3 pages multiplies the price by 1.3 and up to 5 pages by 1.6. That avoids page-by-page haggling and reflects the real work on structure and content.

Should I charge upfront or in installments?

A common, safe approach is 50% when the contract is signed and 50% on delivery, one of the options in the contract Hyperpin generates. Splitting the project into many payments raises the risk of delivering without getting paid, so keep installments for maintenance, which is already monthly.

Want the price for the exact city and the site ready?

Inside Hyperpin, pricing uses the client's real city population, and you generate the site, the proposal and the contract at that price.
